When you’re sitting at a desk all day with constant stress on you, it’s hard to want to do any physical activity when you get home. Waking up earlier in the day is your best chance of getting in a workout, but if you falter in the slightest with your morning routine, you’re not going to make it to the gym. That isn’t your only hope though, as you can find some options that will keep you active without requiring a chunk of time out of your day.
While the Cubii isn’t going to give you a six pack, it will at least keep your body in motion. This is an elliptical that will sit under your desk so you can pedal your way to some quality cardio, or put you on a pleasant stroll to nowhere. It was made to be as ergonomic as possible so that you are at the best angle and won’t be smacking your knees with every rotation. Just to make sure everyone can use it, this comes with 2 wheel stoppers so rolling chair users don’t feel left out.
You won’t just be peddling along without any challenge as there are 8 levels of adjustable resistance, and best of all is that it is completely silent. Coworkers around you won’t even know you’re burning mad calories on your FitBit. This is equipped with Bluetooth and works with an app so yes, you can track your strides, time, distance, and set goals. This is going to cost you around $347, and comes in black and red or various shades of grey.

If you live in an area that sees a lot of sun, then you probably own at least one pair of sunglasses. Some like to be stylish and have multiples so they can coordinate with their outfits, but functionality and not spending copious amounts on many different pairs of shades can be just as effective. Of course, they don’t just have to be normal sunglasses that block your eyes from the rays of the sun. They can be far more…entertaining.
While you wouldn’t think of these sweet Zungle Panther Sunglasses as being anything more snazzy shades, they’re also bone conduction speakers, and have a mic so you can take calls on the go. It’ll be so discreet that people will think you’re talking to yourself all over again, just like the Bluetooth earpiece craze (which hasn’t fully gone away). We’ve seen plenty of these bone conduction headsets in the past, though nothing quite this streamlined.
The benefits of these headsets are that they are much safer as the open ear allows you to hear exterior sound, its built-in mic is noise-cancelling, and has four hours of play time. Since these are likely meant for a very specific group of consumers (9-to-5er’s who live in a sunny state that are only outside for a few hours a day), they are pretty neat and cost as much as any other nice shades would at $119. These are already funded through indiegogo, but are pre-order only, shipping in February of next year.

Everyone exceeds the speed limit whether they mean to or not. When you’re on a long stretch of road for seemingly endless miles with no cars coming or going, you’re going to be a bit lead-footed so you can get to where you’re going faster. Of course, there are police officers who need to do their jobs, and sometimes we forget how fast we’re going when we get closer to civilization.
If you ever find yourself in need of a reminder that you should probably slow down your speed demon ways, then the Escort Max II Radar Detector should help you out. This is a receiver that incorporates military technology, has a multi-color OLED display, and is updated weekly on the whereabouts of red light and speed cameras in North America. It also features a community aspect as other users in the area will give you real-time alerts, warnings, and local speed limit data.
It has a great range, uses voice alerts, and is Bluetooth-equipped for access to Escort Live. This is basically just a network to help you avoid tickets, but it’s pretty obvious that you should be driving safely in tandem with using this. This is one of the more expensive models at $399.99, but seeing that it can save those who can’t seem to help but speed check themselves before racking up tickets which will easily equal that price after 2 or more tickets.

We seem to be on the very futile search to find the perfect smartwatch. New aspects and innovations keep being realized for this wearable technology, and while some products are just a rehashing of things that already exist, there are those that want to improve on the model. Smartwatches have been around long enough now that we essentially know what we would want, need, and like to have.
The Ticwatch 2 is yet another smartwatch, but they claim to be the most interactive. It has a dialer, calendar, weather report, voice search, gives notifications, controls your music, has Find My Phone, is compatible with Google Fit, Uber, Yelp, does fitness tracking, and has plenty of customization. Changing out bands for work and exercise is simple as you don’t need any tools to switch it out. Voice interaction is started by saying “Ok, Tico” and from there you should be able to call an Uber without opening the app, find a restaurant nearby, and more.
There’s touch control where certain swipes mean different actions, there’s a side strip along the outside of the clock face on the side so you can scroll, zoom, and control your volume without covering up the screen. Flipping your wrist twice will answer calls and knocking the watch twice will shuffle the songs. Putting your hand over the watch face will switch the watch to incognito mode where it just looks like a nice digital watch. It works with iPhone and Android, and will cost you $159 or more. While this is very surface level information, you’ll want to read more on their Kickstarter campaign as they’ve reached over a million in funding despite only asking for $50k.
